Property visit trips & home care for Gulf buyers in Egypt
Thinking of a holiday or second home in Egypt? We plan a calm, well-organised viewing trip, help you ask the right questions, and look after the home once it is yours — without selling you anything.
Who this is for
Gulf families who are considering a holiday or second home in Egypt and want to see the options in person before deciding. The areas we are most often asked about are New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed (close to schools, hospitals and family in Cairo), the North Coast for summer (see our North Coast guide), and the Red Sea coast around Hurghada and El Gouna for winter sun (see Hurghada).
Many buyers already know Egypt well; others are visiting for the first time. Either way, a short, well-planned trip saves a lot of back-and-forth on WhatsApp and helps you compare projects with your own eyes.
What we do on a viewing trip
- Plan the days: we group viewings by area so you are not crossing Cairo three times a day, and leave time for rest and family.
- Hotel: we suggest hotels close to the areas you want to see.
- Car with driver: arranged with a licensed transport company, which operates and invoices the service — see transport options.
- Meetings you choose: we book appointments with the licensed developers or brokers you select. We do not steer you towards particular projects.
- An independent questions checklist: before every meeting we give you a list of questions to ask, so every project is compared on the same points.
- Your own lawyer: we strongly recommend you appoint an independent Egyptian lawyer before signing anything or paying any deposit, and we can schedule a meeting with them during the trip.
After you buy: home care
Owning a home in another country is easier when someone local is keeping an eye on it. Under a written agreement, we can:
- Get the home ready before you arrive — cleaning, air-conditioning checked, essentials stocked.
- Follow up maintenance with the developer's maintenance team or a contractor you approve, and keep you updated with photos.
- Track bills and service charges — electricity, water, gas and compound fees — and remind you before they are due.
- Hold keys and arrange access for maintenance or guests, only as set out in the written agreement.
- Periodic check visits while you are away.
What Hayakkom does not do
- We do not sell, market or advertise specific property units, in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere.
- We do not promise rental income, capital growth or any return.
- We never receive or hold purchase money, deposits or instalments. All payments go from you directly to the developer or seller, through the channels in your contract.
- We are not a real estate broker, financial adviser or law firm. Purchases are made in Egypt through licensed developers or brokers, and legal advice comes from your own lawyer.
Documents to check before you commit
This is a general checklist to discuss with your lawyer, not legal advice:
- Ownership: proof that the developer owns, or has the right to develop, the land — or, for a resale unit, the seller's registered title or full chain of contracts.
- Developer details: the company's commercial registration and the project's building permit.
- The contract: the full draft, reviewed by your lawyer before signing.
- Payment plan in writing: amounts, due dates, and the developer's official bank account. Pay only to that account and keep every receipt.
- Delivery: the delivery date, finishing specification and what happens if delivery is late.
- Running costs: any maintenance deposit and annual service charges.
- Registration: whether and when the unit can be registered with the Real Estate Registration and Notarization office, and who pays the costs.
Rules for non-Egyptian owners are set by Law No. 230 of 1996: in general, up to two residential properties for the owner and their family, each no larger than 4,000 m², with a five-year period before resale — and exceptions apply in certain areas. Rules change, so confirm the current position with your lawyer (see sources below).
Business & corporate trips
We also coordinate short business trips to Egypt for Gulf companies: delegation visits, meeting schedules with the companies you want to see, hotels close to your meetings, and cars with drivers or minibuses through licensed transport companies. For events and medical conferences, see conferences.
How to start
Tell us the areas you are interested in, your approximate budget and dates, and who will travel. Sedan or family van, with a professional driver

| Family van with driver, full day | 790–1,125 SAR |

Questions people ask
Can you recommend a project or tell me which one is best?
No. We do not sell or recommend specific units. We arrange meetings with the licensed developers or brokers you choose and give you an independent checklist so you can compare them yourself.
Do I pay the deposit through Hayakkom?
Never. We do not receive or hold any purchase money. All payments go directly from you to the developer or seller, as set out in your contract.
Can a Saudi, Emirati or Kuwaiti citizen own property in Egypt?
Yes, non-Egyptians can own residential property under Law No. 230 of 1996, generally up to two homes for the owner and family, with conditions and exceptions. Your own lawyer should confirm the current rules for your purchase.
What does home care cost?
It depends on the size of the home and the services you choose. We agree the scope and fee in a written agreement before starting.
