A 10-night Eid al-Adha plan

Treatment over the Eid al-Adha break

When is Eid al-Adha 2027?
Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected on Sunday 16 May 2027, with the Day of Arafah on Saturday 15 May. These are 10 and 9 Dhul Hijjah 1448 on the Umm al-Qura calendar; the dates are confirmed by moon sighting and can move by a day.
When is the Saudi school Eid al-Adha holiday in 2027?
From Friday 7 May to Saturday 22 May 2027, according to the Ministry of Education calendar for 1448 AH. Students return on Sunday 23 May.
Is Egypt too hot in May?
Luxor and Aswan are very hot in mid-May, in the high 30s °C. The Red Sea resorts are hot but sea-cooled, and Alexandria is mild, so the Eid al-Adha break is best spent by the sea.
Where is best for Eid al-Adha in Egypt with children?
Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada have the most family resorts, kids' clubs and calm beaches. Safaga and Soma Bay are quieter; Alexandria suits families who want a city by the sea.
Is the North Coast open in May?
Many resorts are open, but mid-May is before the season: it is quiet and the sea is still cool. The North Coast season runs from late June to September.
